Forlorn Halloween Ornament

Since Halloween I have watched this lollipop sized pumpkin face bravely carry out its sentinel duty in the front corner of a neighbor's yard.

Its weather worn face is increasingly pale each day; it seems to have been forgotten by those who placed it out into the cold.

More and more out of place and forlorn as the holiday seasons have changed from Halloween to Thanksgiving to Christmas, this little ornament is looking a bit sad to say the least.

I would like to wish all the Blipfoto folks a Merry Christmas, especially to those of us who might feel a bit forlorn and forgotten on Christmas Eve.
