Beetles & Bacalao
Seemed appropriate that when I was wondering what to shoot for my 1st Christmas Eve here in Mexico, that this scene should present itself just opposite from Sandra's aunt's house, where we were visiting (along w/Sandra's sister & folks) for the traditional Christmas meal.
For Mexicans Christmas Eve is the bigger day and is when all the extended family (which here in Mexico is never small) come together for a big feast.
No Turkey to be seen anywhere, just a delicious meal of Bacalao (made by Sandra's mum), which is salted, sun-dried Cod in a tomatoes & potatoes. Also there was a lovely Pork dish as well. Not to mention the copious amounts of Tequila, which flowed very freely all night.
So, I hope everyone is having a lovely Christmas as I write this.
Feliz Navidad a todo.
