Some Days

By Euphemist

A Very Happy Boy!

The Euphling Fraser has had an up and down day, then a big, big up, and then a bit of a down.

He was really pleased with his (non-electronic) "Santa" presents this morning, including the Swiss Army knife for camping and fishing, then not so pleased with the trip to the local hospital for butterfly stitches on the gashed hand after trying to open an almond with it! (You can just see the bandage on his thumb, the donkey)!

But then when we had the family presents this afternoon, he had such a surprise when his big sister Euphette Charlotte gave him the skateboard jeans and trainers that his evil parents had refused him, (this picture was just as he opened the parcel), and then the brand new up-a-grade cornet from his loving and loved parents (things change quickly when you're nearly eleven) gave him.

But then the dinner got slightly late (a Euphemism!) and he didn't really enjoy it.

On the plus side, we had a lovely day, with our family, Lindsey(Euphemia) Fraser, Charlotte, Ian her boyfriend and an unexpected but very welcome guest for dinner.

Altogether, a beautiful Christmas day; certainly one we will remember for many, many years.

(Playing with my present, a 50mm f1.8 lens. Scary stuff!)
