Monday 26 December 2011: Boxing Day walk by the coast
This is the view from the path at the eastern end of Roome Bay, Crail, in Fife. In the distance you can see the Bass Rock and Berwick Law.
My husband and I took a walk out to the lighthouse at Fife Ness and then round to the golf club, where it was time to pay the annual dues. In the interests of economy, we've at least saved 42p on the First Class Stamp.
At this time of year, it's often possible to see lovely cloud formations with sunlight streaming through, but it was rather too dull today. Bracing walk, although on the way back I had to stow my hat in my pocket to save it from being blown away.
