Wednesday 28 December 2011: Holy Trinity Ruins, Stockton-on-Tees

Well today I had to take the car back the garage for the mechanical repairs to be completed (for those who have read my previous blips, you can only begin to imagine that as I was getting closer my blood pressure was getting higher lol) Calm down it's only a car! I remained calm :-)

Before embarking on the drive to home - I decided to take a stroll into the High Street of Stockton Town. It's been a number of years since my last visit and it certianly has changed..., The introduction of Wellington Square(new build) looks inviting but I personally think this has taken the heart out of the main stretch. Town centres aren't what they used to be, retail parks and greedy landlords have a lot to answer to Oh and yes the councils for charging so much for parking! Better get back of my soap box Hahaha...

Anyhow, at the bottom of the High Street is the ruins of a Church (History) that still looks amazing regardless of it's tragic end. Whilst there taking snaps galore, three drunks sitting on a park bench, smoking and drinking wanted their picture taken and I obliged, it made them happy and I must admit it brought a smile to my face.

Well, off to do the ironing now, then prepare for tonight homemade special curry with egg fired rice. Not forgetting my run before tea. Then back to blipping :-)
