Wednesday 28 December 2011: Rain on the Way
The visitor disappeared today; blown away perhaps. And the spirits lightened between the downpours and gusting winds. So, normal service returned, along with my happy equilibrium. First up, Aguirre, Wrath of God at the Filmhouse. What a cracking film. Stunning and crazy and tragic. Territory Herzog returned to with Fitzcarraldo. The only thing that let it down was the awful dubbed English (OK, American English) - I'd have preferred the subtitles. Just the film for the weather. Afterwards, I even managed to squeeze a wee pint in.
So, tonight? the final Old Firm game of the year. Will fat McSwally lose the plot? Will Lennon spit the dummy? I think I may have to take this one in.
