Wednesday 28 December 2011: View from a Quiet Corner
I've had a cold since the start of December, and I've been taking antibiotics for the last week to deal with a sinus/respiratory infection. The side effects of the antibiotics are not fun, so I'm taking more drugs to combat those. So I rattle like a pill bottle.
Today I slept, made dinner for 16 people (there are only 12 of us, but some of them are hungry types...), and then sat quietly in a corner trying not to be sick while others played appropriately raucous party games.
I'm off to bed now. Hopefully I'll feel a bit more like joining in the fun tomorrow.
