Monday 2 January 2012: Olympus Trip

This is the first camera I owned, my mother gave it to me (bought second hand) after I had been using a friend's Exakta Varex IIb for some time. The Exakta had not metering so I had to set the camera manually by eye, the Olympus could do it automatically.

I used this little camera a lot until I bought the Pentax UC-1, which then became my standard compact go-every-where camera. One thing, even today that impresses me about this little camera is that the metering gives very good exposures for sky with clouds in, consistently better than every camera I've had since.
