Tuesday 3 January 2012: Growing up so fast!

Today is Kai's first day in nursery. A landmark day for both of us! At just two, it's Kai's first opportunity to have a little world without me in it. For me, a much anticipated chance to recharge and be productive in ways that are difficult with a small person at your heels.

Kai is very excited about it (especially about the large tropical fish tank!). In fact he's generally very excited and tigger-like about most things at the moment and photographs of him are nigh impossible to get unless I'm aiming for a colourful blur! So this is a rare still moment when he opened his new guitar (present from Aunty Hannah).



You don't raise heroes, you raise sons.
And if you treat them like sons, they'll turn out to be heroes, even if it's just in your own eyes.
