Chaos

It wasn't just the bridges that were closed today.

What a wind! Howling through the night and during the commute into work this morning I had to swerve twice as large metal wheely bins were launched across the road.

Thankfully made it in without incident but many were not so fortunate.

Saw several cars damaged by bits of roof blown off by the gale down Leith Walk.

Also, many roads down Leith were closed due to debris and collapsed walls.

This road, by the Pond Bar, was shut due to bricks having been blown off the wall of a nearby building.

They were scattered all across the road.

Hope blippers across Britain and Eire that have been battered by these winds are all okay.
