...for banging my head against. took me *one hour and 40 minutes* to get logged on this morning at work (normally 10-min job, tho how it takes more than three i have no idea) - 30 minutes of that were spent talking to the it dept, who said several times there was nothing they could do because it was a server issue affecting everyone. but if it was an issue affecting everyone, how come i was the only one having the specific problem i was talking to them about?

ffs, they really do my head in. i appreciate it was not the fault of the it dept that this happened, but their lack of interest in my problem and the fact they think it's ok that, having spent 55 minutes trying to log in, another 25-ish while the computer decides whether to switch on or not is acceptable and not affecting the working day is beyone a joke. never mind the fact it took 15 minutes of hanging on before anyone answered the phone to start with.

the it dept suffered after this place was bought over a few years ago - we have to log our problems with the leeds office and are only allowed to call the people in this building for issues when deadlines are a factor, utterly ridiculous - but still, they should be able to recognise that wasting 90 minutes staring at a blank screen is not a good situation and at least offer sympathy!!
