Preparing to wash

Here under the gasturbine of unit EC3.
Wytze and Anne are putting all the necessary valves in the right position.
The unit is at standstil because it's not needed today so a good opportunity to give the inside (blading) of the compressor a so-called "water wash".

This has to be done when the efficiency of the compressor decreases below certain limits.

To do so the shaftline is brought to 750 rev. per minute and 2500 liter of water and soap is blown inside.
When the tank is empty, we have to wait 20 minutes to let the compressor soak at 130 RPM.
After that we rinse for 20 minutes at 750 rpm again with clear water.

Then a period of drying at 750 RPM arrives.

When that is finished we put all the valves in the right position again according to a strict schedule with passkeys.

When the last passkey has been put in it's slot, we have permissive to start the unit again.
