Wednesday 4 January 2012: 100 blips and another year older!
Who would have guessed that 100 blips would have come around so soon? It hardly seems more than three months since I decided to try blipping - the time has flown by and I've had such fun and found a wonderful community of extraordinary people all over the planet, some with lives very similar to mine and others with totally different situations - but all extremely interesting, creative and supportive! To name just a few, I should mention
CleanSteve (who got me blipping in the first place!)

And how cool is this... my 100th blip turns out to have fallen on my actual birthday!
As I was born within the 12 days of Christmas, I've always been used to having the Christmas decorations still up on my birthday (we take them down on the 6th January). I know that nowadays, many people like to get Christmas cleared away just after New Year - especially if they have had them up since November or early December - but to me, my birthday is still 'Christmas-time', so I've blipped a couple of baubles and a candy cane that I took off the tree this morning!
Had fun stringing them up on fishing line, tying them to a broom handle and lying it across the arms of two garden chairs by the pool! The cat didn't help operations much and neither did the wind, but I think I've got what I was aiming for, more or less! (I've removed the fishing lines with a bit of PS retouching!). But 101 days ago, would I have even thought of taking such a photograph? Probably not!
Christina organised the most lovely brunch at home this morning in my honour and craftily kept me out of the kitchen while she was getting everything ready by downloading Part II of Great Expectations (I had watched Part I last night!) and having it all ready to play when I got up! When I was allowed into the kitchen, it was to find my friend Sayra and her daughter Alexandra waiting there to suprise me, too, and then we all sat down to a beautifully-decorated table laden with a wonderful feast of strawberries and cream, Buck's Fizz, pink lemonade, blueberry muffins and Eggs Benedict, all prepared by Christina's own fair hand - it was really super; I'm lucky to have such a thoughtful daughter :)
Now, I must go and get ready to go out to dinner with the family at our favourite (and previously-blipped!) restaurant, Bushido.
