Wednesday 4 January 2012: The Hideaway

It was dark, dark, dark this morning at the bus stop. But the Office is so bright out there that I had to find a little place to hide.

The final accomplishment of the holidays yesterday was the installation of a 'V+' box at home. I am given to understand this will allow me to record two TV programmes while watching a third. This capability is surely well beyond anyone's requirements - it's hard enough to find a single good programme to watch, so what's the likelihood of three watchable programmes being on at the same time? Aye, exactly, nillsville. And if I've got this wrong and they really are queuing up to throw good programmes about, how come the TV in the pub shows darts? What's that about? Who lives out there on the other side of that door?
