Wednesday 4 January 2012: A trip to Aid to Hospital Worldwide warehouse

Went to Aid to Hospitals Worldwide today. They are a charity, which helps all over the world. They work with over 50 hospitals and NHS trusts to recycle redundant but usable medical equipment to needy hospitals in the developing world.
In the UK, this saves landfill costs and lowers carbon emissions. Overseas, it save lives.

This warehouse is filled with all sorts - anything you can find in a hospital is likely to be here. And did you know that after one use of crutches here in the UK, they are disposed of and not used again - no wonder this charity has plenty of these then!
