Nottingham market square

Took Jacob and a friend into Nottingham as he had an INSET day. We ended up watching Hugo which is an excellent film and then wandering around the remnants of the Christmas German market. It all looked quite sad and forlorn. There were very few people on the rides and no one at the bratwerst stalls and fewer still drinking mulled wine. It can only be days before this is all cleared away.
Jacob had a chat with the 'occupy Nottingham' people as he was curious as to why they were camping out. The guy that answered his queries was very kind although perhaps a little high brow for a 9 year old.
The photo is of the huge ride which towers over the council house in market square. What you can't see, is the camp below .
