Lite Puzzles

Arrived Perth railway station, our train to York was showing on time, but trains heading out of Perth north to Inverness were cancelled as there was a tree on the line around Dunkeld and as our train had to pass south through Dunkeld it wasn't a surprise when they then said our train would be 40 minutes late.

There was a local train departing for Edinburgh. Should we get on it? The line at Dunkeld may not get cleared, our train may not get through - What to do?

We jumped on the local train and when we arrived in Edinburgh we saw that our original train was cancelled - good decision, but that meant the next train departing Edinburgh was going to be BUSY. We found out which carriage was going to have the least seat reservations and made for that and got ourselves a couple of seats - another good decision.

Eventually we arrived at our home station only just over an hour late, which means East Coast will refund our tickets in full. A good outcome to today's Lite Puzzles plus I completed the Suduko and Mrs L (aka Sudoku Queen) gave up - that's probably the first time ever for that result.
