Saturday 7 January 2012: Clinging On
It has been raw today in the showers and the birds have been feeding vigorously trying ( presumably ) to get enough energy to stay alive. When you watch them closely it is amazing how tenaciously they cling on to the feeders - the legs on the one the right don't look strong enough to make any firm or lasting connection, but they allowed a good perch for long enough to have a stab at the fat balls, and get some food to fly away with.
