Battle of Waterloo

The Wellington Statue in front of the Glasgow Gallery of Modern Art is usually recogniseable for the parking cone on his head. Sometimes his horse has one too.

However most people will miss the fact that below the main statue are reliefs showing episodes from Wellington's life including this one of the famous battle.

However one of the reasons it doesn't impress the locals is that there are much more exiting battles taking place closeby most Saturday nights.

(For any potential visitors reading this, the last comment is just a joke!).
