Emergency vet

I'm picking up the story from Lizzie's blip (blipfoto.com/5000vines) of Jonty's rush to the emergency vet this afternoon.

..... We coaxed him out of the car at home though he still wouldn't look at us, put him into his bed in the office, turned the lights out and fed the other dogs next door. We were sure we should keep him by himself so he could calm down and recover from the drugs.

Meanwhile the dogs had other ideas and were pawing at the door to see him. No way, Jose.

Then we let them out for a pee and they bashed round to the back door, shoved their way in and we looked in to see three tails wagging and lots of sniffing going on.
So we let them all in together and slowly he found his way back into the world and back into Lizzie's arms for a cuddle.

phew!

The dogs knew best of course. They knew the best way to bring him home was to smell those old familiar smells and be together.
