Saturday 7 January 2012: Startled by starling sweet song!
Slowly getting better, but I didn't want to venture out on foot today. as it was cold and windy and I know I'll just start coughing, so I drove myself to the pier (first time I've driven in 9 days). These starlings were singing so sweetly that they completely caught my attention from my original blip idea. They let me get quite close and I didn't want to invade their space too much as I was enjoying their lovely song. I don't recall hearing much other than squawking from starlings before. There were lots of them, but it was only the the ones in the tree top that I was able to capture with the camera. The two at the top were leading the way.
