Nepal is going through something of a fuel crisis at the moment. The Nepal Oil Corporation, (state owned) owes its supplier the Indian Oil Company a substantial sum of money, which has led to the IOC withholding supplies.

NOC is currently incurring a loss of Rs 1.25 billion per month as it sells fuel products below the cost price!! (Current exchange rate 129 rupees = £1.00).

Loans have been secured by the Government, so we'll see.

This is on the way to work this morning. Its the first time this petrol station has been open for around 2 weeks.
