Monday 9 January 2012: Shoe Lace Shot

Having found myself down near the ground to tie my shoe lace, I thought I might as well make good use of the effort made and take a photograph.

Okay, there's a lamp post in the way. Ignore that, it's part of the composition. Or, don't ignore that - it's an integral part of the composition, a bit of a full stop in the ray of light... Which ever... What ever...

In other news, on this day in 1909, Ernest Shackleton reached the furthest south ever reached, at that time. Just over 100 years ago... Isn't it still incredible?

These lot would have been proud..
