Monday 9 January 2012: Poorly blackbird
On my cycle ride home from work I saw this bright eyed blackbird on the pavement. I think he must have been hit by a car.
I was on my bike with two full bags of work/shopping and had no way of getting him home with me. He was quite calm and very warm when I picked him up. I placed him on an ivy covered wall in a less-obvious place. Sadly I think his wing is broken as he made several unsuccessful attempts to fly.
