First Thoughts

It is strange how often the first idea of a blip is what ends up as one's choice. I was in Oban all day today with lots of fascinating things to see and people to talk to. But apologies to Helen and Iain Crawford for not featuring the fabulous cream tea at Soroba Training, which is doing great work with young people in a hotel setting , and apologies also to Catherine Gillies at Dunollie for not featuring Alexander McDougall's waistcoat (it is amazing and on its own worth a visit to the 1745 house , about to have its first full year open to the public).

Instead this is the very first picture I took today, pulling off the road as I approached Connel to capture the bridge, which always strikes me as a great sight no matter the angle of approach - for a different one from the election campaign last year, see here !
