Monday 9 January 2012: Lemon curd and sugar

As I walked outside with the laundry earlier (I can't believe I'm hanging washing out in the second week of January), I noticed the hellebore that Ant's sister's bf's parents (Did you follow that?) bought us for Christmas. It was a wonderfully apt and thoughtful present considering they've not yet met us. I sat on a cushion on the decking and took about 30 macro shots of the different flowers and buds on the plant. When I first saw the photos on the laptop, I was really pleased with almost all of them and thought I'd struggle to choose one...until I noticed a dark spot on every single one. That helped me narrow it down to three in which the blob was barely visible, and this is the best of them.

Thanks so much for all your support on yesterday's blip. It's been, and continues to be, a difficult time for both of us, but you just have to keep muddling on as best you can...
