Monday 9 January 2012: Edinburgh Canal at Harrison Park

This afternoon I was cycling along the canal and saw a young girl feeding the swan. There was a flock of black-headed seagulls circling above the water. It look a wonderful scene, but by the time I got my camera phone out, the girl has gone and there was a barge moving east along the canal, so the gulls dispersed. However, I managed to catch this photo just before the barge came into view. I like the colours of the sandstone on Polworth Parish Church in the background.
