Follow The Leader

The Canadian geese were gathered in a flock when the alpha male signaled it was time for a swim. I was very impressed with the polite and orderly fashion in which they waited their turn to waddle off in a single file. There was no pushing or bumping, just a nice game of follow the leader as each one dove into the lake at the exact same spot.

I counted 72, all quite content on a beautiful Wednesday morning.
