Rudy just asked me what this is. I explained a "typewriter: a machine that they used for writing posh letters in the olden days" he was puzzled. I am going to get my old typewriter down for him to have a look at tomorrow.

The host of this typewriter is a newish vintage/antique shop that we visited for the first time today. Some lovely stuff and seemed reasonable but even reasonable was too much for our January skintness.
