Wednesday 11 January 2012: The look...
684/365: ... that only an older sister can give a younger brother when he's in the middle of one of his enthusiastic renditions of 'adventures of the playground'.
Guess what? It's a 'rubbishy photo' day again today! My heart is just not in it at the moment - but at least with blipping, you can do a snapshot of the monkeys, and then use it as an excuse to waffle on about your day regardless of how poor your photography might be! This was of them, sitting on the counter in the kitchen just before bedtime as Felix waffled on about something or other and Maddy humoured him!
Been another busy day. Felt kinda productive although I think I used up my word quota for the day because of having so many meetings. That would be good though, right? I'm sure I've shared this 'when I rule the world' idea before... but here's a recap. Every day you have a quota of words you can use - let's say, 2000. Once you've used them, then that's it. You get to go home and relax. Even if that happens mid-meeting, you'd just hold up a little card which said 'sorry, used up my words', nod in an apologetic manner and then leave.
That will be on my list of things that'll happen. That and having tea come out of taps.
I will also be introducing teleporters so I don't have to commute.
And any child who says 'I don't like that' without having tasted what you've cooked first will have their word quota restricted to include only the words 'thank you' and 'please' for the next month.
Oh, and I'll be banning that annoying soup advert where they blow on their soup to produce a raspy version of 'You are my sunshine'.
I can see my first few days in office will be extremely busy indeed.
PS I really do write some trivial nonsense sometimes...
PPS If Maddy read this, I think she'd be giving me 'the look' too... :o)
