Thursday 12 January 2012: Today I have mainly been .....

Scrubbing

We have the estate agent coming round tomorrow to take pictures of the house, so as well as manically finishing off all the jobs required (painting the kitchen ceiling, stripping the excess grout off the tiles in the utility bit of the kitchen ..... which is quite tough btw, especially when you've left it there for two years!) we now have to clean everywhere. Not that we're not normally clean you understand, but well, there's always things you could do but never get around to.

Needless to say, although I worked all morning/afternoon til 2.15pm I still hadn't mopped the floor, wiped the lower cupboards or tidied the CD's in the kitchen *sigh*
At this point I felt Ali had had way too much TV and the dog was desperate for a walk so we went on a quick jaunt round the back of the castle before collecting Bob.

I just don't think I am that efficient at cleaning, either that or I am very thorough, either way I never manage to get as much done in the time as I think I should, which is irritating. So when himself returned home at 7 feeling tired and grouchy I felt the need to repeatedly apologise for not doing more.

Thank goodness this brief spell of fresh air (even if Ali felt the need to complain!) I would have gone mad and also been blipless for the day if we'd not got out.
