Friday 13 January 2012: This year's first flower

This may not win any floral or photography awards, but when I saw this on my terrace I just had to take a photograph of it, even if the flower is a but gnawed at by snails or slugs.

Normally, the first plant to flower at Basse Copette is a crocus, right next to my front door ... it is coming along, but this beautiful blue primrose is the first this year.
