Of course, I got here too late to blip any images of the mountains. But I love the Swiss rail system. And so I thought I should blip a part of my rail trip.
This woman was sitting in the train beside mine while we were waiting in the Bern bahnhof. I love the reflections.
My trip was crazy easy. Right from the get go. Karin drove me to the airport at 5:30pm - crush hour - and we had no traffic to deal with. The Toronto airport was quiet. I walked straight up to the ticket counter. I asked about upgrading to first class and it was no problem. The flight was on time and quiet and I slept a lot. The connector from London Heathrow to Zurich was a little delayed, but nothing much.
But it's this amazing Swiss rail system that has me smiling. So smooth. So quiet. So efficient. Again, a first class upgrade and I had a lovely quiet trip to Grindelwald. And now I find there is a huge amount of snow here. So I am very, very pleased :)
