Sunday 15 January 2012: White #4
A large flowered single petal white rose with an attractive centre of reddish stamen(s?) (Not sure if it should have the 's'!)
A couple of what looks like winged ants getting nectar or pollen.
Very windy again today following another big quake overnight that shook us awake - again! sick of being woken in the middle of the night. Still no further damage so that's great.
Light very bright and harsh, should have gone earlier although it was only just after 9. Not a perfect specimen either, but the roses are looking pretty tired, I suppose the watering restrictions are a problem. This is a the Botanic Gardens.
