The weather forecasters are predicting the return of warmer air, rain and grey skies so I thought this was the perfect time to capture the frost - beautiful frozen works of crystal art.

And I'm rather proud of this photo as I've been resisting using the macro feature on my camera. It's still on the auto setting but even on this setting, I need to steady my hand or else I end up with a blurred image. My photography is improving, slowly.

And I'm considering upgrading to a digital SLR camera - any recommendations?
