Tuesday 17 January 2012: Emergency Books & Blip
Well, we hit the shops. As it is a fair way we do try & make the most of the experience and try (and mostly fail) to get everything we need save going near a shop again for at least 7 days.
Bitty in-between shops turn out to be so expensive don't they ???
Anyway up. Armed with camera and a new "want to find a blip" eye we shopped & snapped.
Rather naughtily nipped in an outdoorsy type shop & bought an all in one ski suit type thing less than 1/2 price so an absolute bargain.
So now when I'm putting our ducks, geese etc... to bed at night and filling up endless water buckets & plastic ponds I will not be cold.
Obviously it goes without saying that we will not see another frost this year or maybe even ever again!!! lol
We got home with an hour of daylight to spare, just enough time to pop on my ski suit grab a coffee & head outside. The guinea fowl went ballistic as I, dressed in a pink & black all in one, went to feed & water them. They really are stupid birds at times lol
Once all were safely tucked up in their beds I got my camera & checked out my snaps. Disappointed & disheartened none had turned out as I'd hoped and were lifeless & dull.
So hence the emergency blip.
This blip is me or should I say us (my o/h too) we take in sick & injured wild birds & animals and rehabilitate them ready for re release back to the wild.
It is very rewarding.
So these are my bibles the books I turn to for reassurance & advice. Emergency books to help the sick animals & birds and to help me with Tuesday's Blip
