Wednesday 18 January 2012: 'Settle Down' Time
Most days sees Jonty getting a grooming by Marlane. He loves it and he knows it as his 'Settle Down Time'. As soon as you say 'Jonty, Settle Down' he jumps up onto Marlanes Bed and she has a hard time sorting herself out as he is so anxious to lie down to get brushed. She can be at this for an hour or more and, although Bichon Frise's don't moult, what I didn't get in the picture is the mound of hair just out of shot at the bottom. It looks like a huge mound but it's so fluffy it goes to a little bundle in the palm of your hand.
Foxy also likes being brushed but you have to be very gentle, as if he's having a stroke.
