Wednesday 18 January 2012: Narmchair

Bad Granny has given Alexander this antique chair (it used to be in my bedroom too). He loves sitting in it with a book. He definitely has a monkish aspect in this. Still, it'll grow back.

It's draped with luxurious throws, and when he's wearing his new dressing gown he looks like an Eastern Potentate in one of CarolineJay's pictures.

He's reading The Snail and The Whale by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. It brings a tear to my eye. But it also makes me chuckle, cos it reminds me of the story about the Tartan Army going to Norway for a match and doing some sort of tickertape parade while singing "We are the Tartan Army and we're here to save the whale".
