Monday 21 July 2008: Cascade of Petals

This Hibiscus was severely intimidated and overgrown by adjacent shrubs to the extent that it was initially not visible.

One day I spotted a flower and realized that there was actually a Hibiscus trying to 'get out!'

After cutting back the adjoining shrubs, this poor plant took a few years to recover, but now it is rewarding us with beautiful flowers.
