Tuesday 17 January 2012: Grabbing his toys
Over the past several weeks we've noticed Linden develop in his interaction with the toys on his playmat. He used to look at the toys and randomly swing his arms and sometimes hit a toy. Then we watched him become more intentional by looking at the toy and slowly touching it with his fist. This week, he began consistently grabbing and holding onto parts of the toys. Before this, Linden tended to only grab and hold onto things connected to his daddy or me: our fingers, clothes or even the guitar. This seems to be a nice beginning to playing on his own and entertaining himself. These little steps of development are so enjoyable for his daddy and me to watch.
