A 2nd Chance (XXc)

Again, this week's update on lil' PupDawg couldn't be more different to last week's.
He is 8 weeks old today and happy and healthy. It was time for him to return to the shelter, where I placed him in a pen with his cosy little bed and toys. I was pleased to see that he went to sleep quite happily in his familiar fashion with half of him in the bed and half out.
When I had to leave he wasn't asleep ... he sat there in his pen looking so tiny and lonely ... it was heart breaking.
It was so hard to leave him behind.
