~Gilded Woodpecker~

~Colaptes auratus~

This is one dexterous and courageous bird.
Able to tread lightly on the spines of the Giant Saguaro.
This ability does ensure a predator free existence though.
They also make their borrows in these beautiful cactus.
The borrows or nests are created with their beaks.
Just as their name implies they peck holes in the cactus.
Again their natural enemies can't gain access to their nests.
