Friday 20 January 2012: Tulips...

... and then in auto-pilot mode, I opened them and put them in a vase by mistake.
Aaaaaargh!!!
At least they provided a blip on a very unblipworthy day. It's been wet. Dark. Grey. And did I mention wet? Well, it was. Drippily so. The good thing was that it was my 'working from home' day, so I didn't have to go out in it. My only 'outside the house' bit was going down to the shop to get a couple of bits and bobs because my Mum's staying with us for a couple of nights.
The children have been VERY excited about her coming. And have been difficult to settle this evening because of the excitement factor. Them sharing a bedroom isn't feeling like such a great idea, not least because they managed bucket-loads of giggling, some bouncing on the bed and then a medley of songs - at full volume. It is nice to see them so excited though and they've both enjoyed stories with Grandma which is a treat.
Hmmmm... other stuff? Not a lot. Made a pavlova and did a roast dinner. Ermmm... archived some old shots - all of which remind me that shots like today's tulips will have me going 'I'd rather have seen a picture of the kids' in a couple of years' time, as all the 'arty' photos I took then, I'm not in the slightest bit interested in any more!

PPPS I think I might need to make up some t-shirts with 'Yay for...' as the slogan on them to save me saying it all the time. :o)
