Saturday 21 January 2012: Name This Thing, #7
Sat in on a rose pruning workshop this morning to try to work up my nerve to be a tad more assertive when grooming the plants. The instructor spoke of "canes as large as baseball bats," as if that were something unusual, and, although the other gardeners gasped in shock, I nodded yes, baseball bat, hmmm, good analogy. So it is definitely time.
