SOB Volleyball - Day 5

I finally got to the end of a long week of photographing volleyball in Ixtapa for South of the Border clients. I had a great time shooting the different matches, but today's Division 1 finals were something else. It seems like a totally different game when these young, tall, athletic players take to the sand. The two women shown here ended up tied for first place after the finals match and an additional playoff game, so they were declared the winners. Megan, hitting the ball, is a professional player, while Lisa, attempting to block the ball, is not a professional but certainly plays like one. Those of us ringing the court were treated to an amazing display of volleyball ability.
