Electronic capture

On my run this morning, I was somewhat lacking in inspiration. S has encouraged me to try and get a picture with farm animals in the foreground and the bay in the distance. Tried that, and was only moderately satisfied with the result. A little happier with a similar approach to a photo of a cabbage tree.

The morning was fairly much "play rained off", and after some time of other activities the growing cagedness of the boys resulted in acceding to their requests to play games on Granny's iPhone and iPad. Grandpa has no games on his. My weakness is the daily cryptic in the local paper and the weekly one in the Guardian Weekly.

Just after their mother had commented that they never sit on their bottoms, they moved to adopt these postures, which they maintained for quite some time. It just had to be recorded.

Later this afternoon, to allow their mother a nap before driving back to Auckland with them, I took them down the cliff path to the beach where we walked about 100 m from the beach to where the water was just above my knees, and it was possible for the boys to play with increasing confidence in the water. The inevitable rain was not unpleasant, but probably resulted in them both becoming quite chilled and a hasty climb back up to a warm shower, and departure with mother despite objections.
