Gabriel's balls ...

as these twin orbs are affectionately known. These are air traffic devices that monitor all flights across the Atlantic. Mt Gabriel is the highest mountain in these parts and is usually swathed in mist. it is a good aerobic climb to the top and you are rewarded with sumptuous views. This was the view at 9.45 this morning, but the mist and clouds cleared to leave a beautiful spring day. I have been clearing madly - cutting back dead ferns around the pond, pulling out bullrushes, weeding the reed beds and giving the daffs and crocuses a bit of breathing space. I was joined by robins and bad cats.
I've also been getting the next lot of cards ready for printing - this takes a surprising long time as I am nervous of making mistakes and you have to be so precise re colour, size, resolution etc. We only get proofs via email and what looks okay on a screen doesn't always look so card in card. My photoshop skills are pretty slender as well. We're doing a wild flower series which look rather nice though.
