Monday 23 January 2012: On the tops

Driving to , and from, Lochgilphead today there was sunshine (with a few showers in the morning) down at loch level, but the tops of the hills were not only snow covered, but often wreathed in cloud , bringing sharp and ( I suspect)heavy snow showers up there. This was taken from near Auchendrain, looking over the forest that has now been harvested and across Loch Fyne.

All in all it was a lovely day to be travelling in mid Argyll.
