Monday 23 January 2012: And now subversion's in the air...
Our glorious Minister for Finance is off in Brussels, to discuss funding the ?1.25bn we have to pay to idiots who threw money at Anglo Irish Bank - the muppets who torpedoed our economy. And so the looney left is out in front of their offices to hold a sing-song/protest/
riot (delete as becomes appropriate!)
I'd normally gnaw my own arm off than agree with any of the scruffy gobshites protesting, but they are for once in the right - even if they can't understand why. The lenders knew they were buying unsecured debt, and earned a hefty interest premium on that basis. They took a punt, and they lost. And now they want the payout anyway. I'd like to see them try that with Paddy Power!
