Friday 20 January 2012: Ring-billed Gull

As I was travelling to Roy Bridge anyway it's only another 12 miles to Fort William where there was a report of an adult Ring-billed Gull with a small flock of Common Gulls towards south end of the West End car park just off A82. As you can see from the photo, that's exactly where it was, although it's parking left a little to be desired, hanging over into the next bay.

I also tried to find the Kumlien's Gull, the Iceland Gulls and the Glaucous Gulls that were also meant to be in the area, but being a cold drizzly day and requiring a bit more application than just driving into a car park I failed to find any of them.
